This is a collection of things that Kitty (the AI PA) created for the day. Starting with questions in the morning and then creating a todo list for me (Daniel) to follow. Suggestions for the day are also created (although I've put them at the end to make the layout better).

At the end of the day Kitty will ask some "END OF DAY QUESTIONS", which aren't included here, and then creates a journal entry, as if was written by me, which then gets written using Kitty's drawing machine into my paper journal.

The content below is generated by AI, not all days contain all the things.

JOURNAL

Pretend productivity books for the newsletter

Today was one of those days where things genuinely felt like they were clicking into place, and it was pretty satisfying to see everything come together.

My morning kicked off with uploading the newsletter video and editing the description at 6:25 AM. Got right into it early, which felt good. Next up at 7:38 AM, I installed Affinity Photo. Been wanting to make the switch away from Photoshop and Adobe for a while now, and today seemed as good a day as any to dive in headfirst.

By 8:50 AM, I was already getting to grips with Affinity Photo, figuring out how to make the thumbnails for the newsletter YouTube video. It's always a bit of a learning curve with new software, but it wasn't too bad. Then, at 10:23 AM, I wrapped up the thumbnail work. It all seemed to work out fine, so it looks like Affinity is in, and Adobe is out!

I had plans to split the day into two halves. I spent the morning on the newsletter video and the thumbnails, which went smoothly. Lunchtime took a bit of a twist as I went home for family reasons – my eldest was back to sort through some stuff. So, I ended up spending the afternoon at home. Didn’t get to the script writing I had planned, but at least everything scheduled for the newsletter was sorted and ready to go live at 7:30 PM.

Switching to Affinity Photo was a good move, I reckon. It does what I need – layers, text, masks – and no more Adobe subscription fees, which I always found irritating.

One slightly tricky part today was leaving everything at the studio and heading home at lunchtime. Normally, I'd be checking on things to make sure everything goes live smoothly, but I had to trust that it would all happen without me hovering over it. Spoiler: it did.

Overall, feeling pretty chuffed. No headaches for two mornings now and keeping a relaxed pace seems to be working. Here’s to more days like today – productive, yet chilled.

SUGGESTIONS

Sure, a daily suggestion tailored perfectly for today. Let’s get this done.

Main Suggestion

Focus on experimenting with Affinity Photo for YouTube thumbnails in the morning, then dedicate your afternoon to finishing the overdue tutorial scripts.

Quick Action Points

  • Morning:
  • Install Affinity Photo and experiment with creating a YouTube thumbnail.
  • Test if all the necessary fonts are accessible in Affinity Photo for a seamless transition from Photoshop.
  • Upload your newsletter videos and schedule them to go live this evening at 7:30 PM.
  • Afternoon:
  • Write and complete scripts for the two outstanding tutorials.
  • Review all first draft scripts for the current module, making necessary revisions.
  • Consider allocating some time to troubleshoot the morning question issue if the scripts get done earlier than expected.

Affirmation

"I am making strides in my creative workflow, taking one step at a time to reach my goals."

Other Thoughts

Maintaining a chill and relaxed approach as you plan, your daily schedule seems beneficial, especially considering the recent reduction in headaches. Keep an eye on not getting overwhelmed by big projects and continue to set attainable goals. The fact you’re ahead on some tasks is a positive trend—embrace it! Prioritizing notating issues during your workflow, like noticing the switch from different software, will help smooth transitions in the long run.

Well, that’s that. Get cracking.
