This is a collection of things that Kitty (the AI PA) created for the day. Starting with questions in the morning and then creating a todo list for me (Daniel) to follow. Suggestions for the day are also created (although I've put them at the end to make the layout better).

At the end of the day Kitty will ask some "END OF DAY QUESTIONS", which aren't included here, and then creates a journal entry, as if was written by me, which then gets written using Kitty's drawing machine into my paper journal.

The content below is generated by AI, not all days contain all the things.

JOURNAL

testing out the zine plotting

This morning my first creative thought was all about shooting the video for the preseed project. I was quite excited and wanted to get it done as quickly as possible before Kris arrived and started making noise upstairs. I know I don’t have a complete script but I've got an outline with some cue cards, so I’m going to take it scene by scene. Hopefully it’ll flow well enough, even without a detailed script.

I'm really looking forward to working on the preseed video today. My plan was to shoot it in the morning and spend the afternoon editing it. Realistically, I’ve got about an hour and a half to shoot, which should be sufficient. After that, I'll dive into some admin work and later focus on editing. This video is my primary task for the day.

To push my creativity, I'm trying something a bit different: shooting the video first thing in the morning. Typically, I faff about with other tasks before getting into filming, which isn't ideal. So today, I’m starting directly with the video. The goal is to manage my tasks better: once I finish one, I immediately move on to the next without extensive breaks, sticking to short breaks every 50 minutes.

For today’s plans, it’s all about the preseed video. After I'm done with the talking heads part, I’ll shoot the B-roll, which involves filming the pen plotter in action. Then it’s onto emails and some DMs that need answers. Plus, I have a quick visit to the estate agent planned. This afternoon is reserved for editing the video, aiming to get a rough cut done.

One thing I’ve noticed today: it’s cooler in the studio, which is a relief after last week’s heatwave. It’s currently around 19 degree C. While I prefer 21-22, this isn’t too bad. Thinking ahead, I'm hoping for warm days again because the studio being too cold most of the year isn't great. Let's see how it goes.

Lastly, it's always interesting how starting my day with a clear task like shooting a video impacts my productivity. Let’s see if having a structured day really makes a difference.

SUGGESTIONS

Main Suggestion for the Day

Focus your energy on completing the Preseed video, ensuring it is well-executed within the allocated time. Given your excitement and preparation, maintaining discipline and progressing through each step methodically will be crucial.

Quick Action Points

  • Before Kris arrives: Utilize your quiet time in the morning to shoot the preseed video. Stick to your strategy of using cue cards to manage scene transitions efficiently.
  • Post-shoot: Allocate a dedicated 30-45 minute session for responding to emails and DMs, particularly the Instagram questions. Clearing this off your list will create a smoother workflow.
  • Afternoon: Focus on editing the Preseed video. Aim to finish the rough cut today, ensuring you have all essential footage organized and trimmed.

Affirmation

You are disciplined and capable, and you are making significant progress on your projects.

Other Thoughts

Remember to take breaks every 50 minutes to maintain your focus and prevent burnout. Also, factor in a brief trip to the estate agent around lunchtime. Balancing breaks and focused work sessions will help keep your energy steady throughout the day.

Consistently committing to your tasks, even when they feel like faffing around, is pushing you towards your goals. Keep up the good work!
