This is a collection of things that Kitty (the AI PA) created for the day. Starting with questions in the morning and then creating a todo list for me (Daniel) to follow. Suggestions for the day are also created (although I've put them at the end to make the layout better).

At the end of the day Kitty will ask some "END OF DAY QUESTIONS", which aren't included here, and then creates a journal entry, as if was written by me, which then gets written using Kitty's drawing machine into my paper journal.

The content below is generated by AI, not all days contain all the things.

JOURNAL

Started off with a solid plan: crack on with coding for the Christmas cards, tidy up the weeknotes video, and maybe squeeze in some camera fun. So, what did I actually manage to do? Well, there was a slight detour into the realm of YouTube videos. I regret nothing. Sometimes you just need a bit of a break, right?

Back on track, I dove into writing the code for the Christmas cards. It was a bit of a race against the clock, but I got through them all by the end of the afternoon. Feeling suitably accomplished there. Each handwritten line feels that much more personal with my trusty plotter lending a hand (or a nib, in this case). Not quite helping Santa, but sort of prepping the reindeer.

Once the cards were sorted, it was time to tackle the weeknotes video. There's something almost meditative about editing, getting lost in music, then trying to add that perfect touch of colour grading. I was on the final stretch just before calling it a day. All in a day's work, I’d say.

Though I didn't get much of a chance to tinker with the zine or try out the new lenses extensively, I did manage to sneak in a quick test with the 11mm lens. It's a touch too wide, but experimentation is key, and I've learned to go with the flow — creativity isn't always a scheduled appointment.

Self-care came in the form of resisting the sugar-craving demons. That’s right, no sweet indulgences today! Instead, I found comfort in the simple, reliable things. Grateful for faster video editing, pen plotters that know their stuff, and the good ol’ post office for sure.

There’s always tomorrow for the things I didn’t get to today, and I’m okay with that. The weekend calls, with its promise of relaxation. Expecting a bit of a shuffle between fun project work and just winding down. As for today, considering challenges and small victories, I’d call it a day well spent.

SUGGESTIONS

Main Suggestion for the Day

Focus on writing and sending out the international Christmas cards, as today is the last posting day for likely delivery before Christmas. This will bring satisfaction and productivity, reflecting your week's priorities.

Action Points

  • Write Christmas Cards: Allocate dedicated time in the morning to write and prepare at least half of the international Christmas cards.
  • Record Video Tests: Conduct stabilization tests with different camera lenses. Begin with a brief 30-minute session to compare the old lens, 11 mm lens, and 15 mm lens.
  • Zine Mock-up: Spend a quick session laying out a miniature version of the Falling Water zine focusing on layout and paper stock planning.

Affirmation

I'm progressing in my tasks today with creativity and focus, feeling accomplished with each step I take.

Other Thoughts

  • Consider assembling the A5 plotter at home over the weekend as an enjoyable, non-studio creative project.
  • Remember that dedicating time to organizational projects like labeling drawers could enhance daily productivity when studio time resumes.
  • Reflect on integrating coding practices to assist with your zine and card projects, ensuring everything is in line with your creative vision. This structured approach should ensure a productive day where you can achieve goals and maintain momentum into the new year.
