This is a collection of things that Kitty (the AI PA) created for the day. Starting with questions in the morning and then creating a todo list for me (Daniel) to follow. Suggestions for the day are also created (although I've put them at the end to make the layout better).

At the end of the day Kitty will ask some "END OF DAY QUESTIONS", which aren't included here, and then creates a journal entry, as if was written by me, which then gets written using Kitty's drawing machine into my paper journal.

The content below is generated by AI, not all days contain all the things.

JOURNAL

Today was a mix of conquering the quadtree code and keeping the studio functional. My primary objective was to get the quadtree code fully operational and run some test plots. It was fascinating to see how the output transformed once I applied a secondary tool that manipulates the outcome halfway through the plot. This variation added another layer of interest to the designs.

Tidying up the workspace helped too. After last week's mess due to pushing for a presentation, it was refreshing to have a clear desk. Starting with a clean slate certainly set a positive tone for the day. Plus, some good music in the background kept the energy levels up.

I got a few more pen plots done, playing with pulling in the SVG output from one design as input to another. I reckon this approach could lead to some intriguing results. I still need to bring these ideas together into a cohesive project, but the experimentation phase is always the most fun part.

Coding all day meant I didn't focus on documenting any physical art materials today. It felt good not having to worry about taking photos or videos. Somedays, it’s alright to let code take the wheel entirely.

After a productive day of coding, seeing the tangible progress always feels rewarding. I made significant strides with both the quadtree project and some initial steps towards integrating different SVG outputs.

Grateful for the thought and effort that went into making the code work. The SVG optimizing tool I’d already built helped save time and modified and adjusted outputs smoothly. Also, having a rainy day outside made it cosier to be inside, snug in the studio, and not soaking wet.

For tomorrow, I plan to put the SVG join tool online. Making it accessible through a web page means I can preview the effects directly, enhancing my workflow when fiddling with start and end lines.

Looking forward to another coding session tomorrow. Nothing beats the simplicity and focus of an undisturbed coding day. It’s been productive and energetic.

SUGGESTIONS

Main Suggestion for the Day

Fully focus on completing the quad tree code to enable forward progress on other sketches.

Action Points

  • Declutter Workspace: Spend 10 minutes tidying up the workspace before starting the quadtree coding session and maintain it just for today's project focus.
  • Music for Focus: Play some inspiring yet non-intrusive music to aid concentration while coding.
  • Dedicated Time Blocks: Allocate specific time blocks for coding without interruptions, with short breaks in between for quick stretches or a breath of fresh air.

Affirmation

You are capable of achieving focused and productive work today. Every step you take brings you closer to your creative goals.

Additional Thoughts

  • Self-Care through Tidying: Reflecting on last Thursday’s insight, having a clean and organized workspace seems to make a significant impact on your productivity and stress levels. So, maintaining this habit could be beneficial.
  • Avoid Documentation Today: As planned, resist the urge to document the processes today to keep a clear head for coding.
  • Evaluate Results: Remember to evaluate the test plots from the quad tree code later to determine any adjustments needed.
