This is a collection of things that Kitty (the AI PA) created for the day. Starting with questions in the morning and then creating a todo list for me (Daniel) to follow. Suggestions for the day are also created (although I've put them at the end to make the layout better).

At the end of the day Kitty will ask some "END OF DAY QUESTIONS", which aren't included here, and then creates a journal entry, as if was written by me, which then gets written using Kitty's drawing machine into my paper journal.

The content below is generated by AI, not all days contain all the things.

JOURNAL

Right, today was supposed to be all about doing absolutely nothing and, I have to say, mission accomplished.

I kicked off the day by plotting out the past few days of journal pages. It's a bit tedious, but there's something nicely methodical about it. I thought about hopping over to the repair café at the church with a couple of items that needed fixing. But in the end, nope. Just couldn't face it. Instead, I decided to stay home and teach myself a card game. It was a solo dungeon dive thing I've had in the cupboard for a while. Pretty fun, actually. Sitting at the kitchen table really worked. It's kind of the hub of the house, so people were coming and going, which was nice.

I had to wear my glasses, and by mid-afternoon, I felt a headache sneaking in. So I took a break. I’ve realised I get a headache when using my glasses in spots other than the studio, probably 'cause the setup there is just right.

Ended up doing a bit of shopping this morning. Nothing fancy, just the supermarket, but it was actually quite nice. I like having those little supplies-ing trips to tick off.

Okay, so apps. Stumbled across some iPhone apps that are all about micro-learning. They’ve shifted from being just bite-sized knowledge nuggets to being anti-doomscrolling. Interesting marketing pivot. Gave a couple a whirl, but they fell a bit flat. It's like eating information snacks without actually digesting anything. Made me realise that if I want to learn something, I need to sit down with a notepad and really absorb it.

In the evening, I thought again about how I consume information. Fiction books in the evening, podcasts or music while walking, biographies as audiobooks are also a good fit. Non-fiction needs dedicated 'learn time', not just random snippets during tasks.

All in all, not a bad day considering I aimed to do nothing. Low energy but at least I managed a bit of productivity—taught myself a card game and figured out a bit more about how I learn best. Crossed a few things off my little to-do list. So yeah, I guess that’s a win.

SUGGESTIONS

Sure thing! Here's your main suggestion for today, Saturday, based on today's and the previous Q&As:

Main Suggestion for the Day

Suggestion:

Since you mentioned not feeling up to much today and wanting to be kind to yourself, why not focus on small, enjoyable activities that don’t feel like work? This can help elevate your mood without adding pressure.

Quick Action Points:

  • Attend the Repair Cafe: Take it easy and enjoy the process of fixing a couple of items; think of it more as a fun outing rather than a task.
  • Take Time for Sticking and Gluing: Spend some time at the kitchen table doing light crafts like sticking and gluing or doodling. This can be therapeutic and enjoyable without the pressure of productivity.
  • Check the Bank Briefly: Spend a minimal amount of time ensuring all is okay with your finances, then set it aside to enjoy your day.

Affirmation:

I am taking today to relax and be kind to myself. I deserve to unwind and enjoy small moments of joy.

Other Thoughts:

Given the intensity of your week and the impending studio sale stress, it's absolutely okay to take a day for yourself. You may find that small, leisurely activities help gently re-ignite your creative spark without demanding too much from you. Remember, your well-being comes first.

Enjoy your day, Dan! Take it easy and look after yourself.
