Monday vibes came with a side of cold fingers today. My studio was a brisk 6 degrees Celsius in the morning - cold enough to see my breath. My fingertips, the stubbornly cold culprits, were the only things keeping me aware of the chilly atmosphere. Nonetheless, I powered through my day armed with determination and, importantly, music to keep me company while tackling my tasks.

I've bid farewell to the stamping experiments I wrapped up last week. This week, I'm diving headfirst into the realm of oil pastels to see how they interact with the drawing machine. It’s like setting off on a new voyage - every day, I'll tinker a bit with code to advance this project. But today wasn’t about pastels; it was about getting four pivotal tasks done on the Digital Daybook. You know me, I can easily get sidetracked with the various fascinating technology in the studio, but today, I made a point to sit at my desk and code.

Lunch brought an interruption of sorts with birthday present action. I hadn't yet wrapped and sent those gifts, which was on my mind. Post lunchtime code accomplishments, I headed to town to gather wrapping paper and prepared to send those off - tick those off the list, at last!

Whilst my main agenda was attached to the laptop, wrapping gifts was gratifyingly therapeutic in its own way. My aim today was absolute focus on my digital daybook tasklist without straying too much into pen plotters and 3D printing. Still, I did ensure to snag the all-important zine files - that’ll keep my creative pursuits ticking along nicely at home tonight.

It might seem chaotic, but there’s a calm amongst the hustle. My gear bag? Still playing hide and seek, but I’m onto it. Tonight will be a relaxed one, especially without the persistent present to-do hanging around. I do feel accomplished even if my fingertips have complained now and again, there’s no quitting in the face of a bit of chill.
