Today was all about taking it easy and embracing the simplicity of a chilled-out weekend. I started the day with some quality time on the Xbox, a rare treat I never feel guilty about indulging in. It felt good to just unwind and let the pixels guide my morning. The groceries arrived as expected, which means the kitchen is now fully stocked for the week—no surprises there!

The highlight of the day was definitely spending time with the family. My eldest came over, and we caught up over lunch. Her birthday presents finally turned up too, so there was that excitement in the air as well. We had a good chat, and it struck me how important these simple moments are. Later, the couch beckoned irresistibly, and I gave in to the luxury of a giant nap. I have to say, it was surprisingly refreshing and exactly what I needed.

As for my creative musings, nothing groundbreaking came to mind today, but those thoughts about taking more photos for the zine are still hanging around. The idea of integrating them into my work feels promising, and I think there’s something there worth exploring further. For now, they’re just floating around in my head, waiting for the right moment to crystallise.

In light of next week's busier schedule, focusing on rest and hydration was a priority. All the extra sleep I've been getting recently is definitely doing wonders for my overall mood. Hydrated and rested equals a pretty decent state of mind by the day's end.

Ending on a note of gratitude—today, I’m thankful for warmth, both figurative and literal, my family, who steadily remind me of what truly matters, and the soft embrace of our sofa that was my retreat today. Saturdays should always be this kind to the soul.
