Ah, Thursday, you had me crossing every rail in London. Note to self: never underestimate the chaos football fans can create on a train. While the pre-match energy might be a spectacle for some, it was more than a little unsettling when you're looking for downtime. Thankfully, I managed to steer clear of too many disturbances and catch some rest upon arriving home.

Taking it easy became my anthem today. With the whirlwind of travel and meetings, it seemed I was banking more energy than I realized. It feels good to slow down, even if the reminders to stay calm came from within rather than without. My eventual priority was reconnecting with a cozy pillow and unwinding fully in my Shrewsbury haven.

In terms of inspiration from recent escapades, my mind's been circling ideas of zines and simple galleries, courtesy of some excellent art books. The power of presenting art with straightforward text is something I’m keen on exploring further. Who knew that seeing someone else do it could flip a switch in my creative brain? I might channel these concepts into zine making, as the thought of creating small art books grows stronger with every reflection.

It's wonderful to get back home, use my headphones to drown out noise, and relish in today's frosty Hyde Park stroll. These moments are reminders of simplicity in life that spark gratitude amid busier stretches.

Tomorrow will come with its own challenges, yet for now, a content heart suits me well. Here's to casting off today's 'busy' and embracing the quietude.
