Ah, the joys of focusing on one task only to have the universe remind you of the chaos outside! Today, I set out with every intention of hammering out that generative handwriting video script. The news, however, had different plans, filling the air with that classic election buzz. You could say training my mind to dance around those electoral distractions was the true task of the day.

Despite the mental acrobatics, I did manage to convert what was originally a blog post draft into a fledgling video script. It's a quirky process, adapting to speak directly to a camera instead of writing for the page, but it's oddly liberating. Once the video is done and dusted, I'll take what was said and let it shape a new written piece.

The election day news eventually wore me down, and by afternoon, I felt like I'd hit a wall. It’s amazing how the world's noise can gnaw away at your focus. Maybe tomorrow brings the solution of logging off the digital world or actively avoiding it altogether for a bit more creativity. The art world can be quite the sanctuary from that outside clamour, after all.

Starting the script was rewarding because it will lead to a long, in-depth video. Most of my content turns out concise-ish, lasting the smart ten minutes or so. This one, though, will take a detour, injecting a bit more depth and detail—yes, a proper forty-five-minute endeavour. I've been intrigued by this shift in online content, with viewers no longer clamouring only for brevity but also sometimes sinking into longer sessions, especially on the big screen.

And today, right on schedule, I found solace with friends I hold near and dear, who remind you of the beauty outside our daily routines. I'm truly grateful for having such a circle to fall back on, along with the occasional adventures through other artists’ spaces, which offer a spark of inspiration when most needed.

So, here's to tomorrow, with ambitions reset, and possibly news-feed blockers in place.
