Well, today's been all about finding simplicity amidst the chaos, with fair attempts and little victories sprinkled throughout.

Spent the morning keeping an eye on the old studio but decided to head home around 08:46. An early start with the sole intention of, well, not doing much.

I had plans to shoot video footage throughout the week, but honestly, I decided to let that go. Figured that putting together an elaborate video for the #weeknotes wasn’t aligning with the whole slow-down vibe I was aiming for. Instead, I settled on sticking with a talking head video come Friday. Hey, sometimes less is more, right?

The day's simple highlight was baking a tray bake cake with Nixie for our youngest’s 16th birthday. The kitchen was filled with laughter and music, but I'll admit it got a bit late in the day. I'm looking forward to seeing the cake bring smiles tomorrow, even though I won’t be indulging in it myself.

I had a serene, although slightly wet day as I dodged the task of taking things to the tip due to the rain. Xbox time also made its way into the schedule—every pixel of escapism is worth it. Helping my youngest with their induction day at the local technical college was truly the day's cherry on top. They finally had access to the taster sessions they were looking forward to, which was a nice surprise.

On reflection, I've been a little tired lately. I haven't been as physically active, and it's probably catching up to me. Some napping and low-energy activities have been the norm, but that's okay. Not every day needs to be a whirlwind of productivity.

Today, I’m grateful for a few simple but significant things: the fact that our kid's path with education seems clearer, the cake turning out well, and not having sent a single email today. Sometimes, the small wins are the most important. Tomorrow looks packed, but for now, I’m calling it a wrap.
