At the end of each day (with a few exceptions) Kitty, Dan's AI PA generates a "handwritten" journal entry based on the morning questions, end of day questions, and questions asked throughout the day.

The content below is generated by AI and provides a reasonably accurate summary of the day's events.

JOURNALS

Taking photos of the cards made from failed prints and plots

Started the day with the usual routine but wanted to tweak things, just a bit. I had this idea of spending more time documenting the studio and snapping some photos. Got some decent shots of the new layout for the August journal page. It's still weird that I keep forgetting to take more photos during the day. They're pretty helpful, but I bet I'll manage to lose them again.

Mid-morning was fun. I got into cutting up a magazine for the August journal page divider. There's something relaxing about manual tasks. While the glue was drying, it was the perfect moment to catch up on plotting out some new journal pages. The studio's been kind of busy since the weekend, and the plotter hasn't been writing any new pages, so now's a good opportunity.

Lunchtime was mainly preparing to dive into the newsletter. I do enjoy writing it; I find that it helps me wrap my head around what I've done during the week. It feels good to share those studio moments and updates. But it's a task that takes a fair chunk of the day. One thing led to another, and I found myself still working on it mid-afternoon. Sometimes it's hard to get everything to flow just right.

The studio heat was quite noticeable today. It hit 26 Celsius pretty early, and by the afternoon, things were getting toasty. It peaked at 29.8 Celsius yesterday evening. It makes moving around more tiring, but at least there's plenty of water thanks to the fridge. Grabbing cold bottles just makes everything feel a bit easier. Couldn't imagine last summer without it.

Wrapped up by reviewing the newsletter draft. It's not finished yet, but most of the heavy lifting's done. I'll add placeholders for the images and code stuff next week. It's coming together. I've got this feeling it's helping me unwind, which is welcome after a hectic few weeks.

Finally, thinking ahead, I do need to finish off the brush height video. Getting started on that tomorrow morning might be a good idea. There's always more to do, but step-by-step seems to be working.
