After printing all the colour combinations I've fallen a bit in love with the pink and green combo. So I quickly draw a tiger and then printed a bunch.
I think he's kinda lovely.

Below is a selection of development diaries for projects I'm working on. I try to keep these up to date; if I've been working on something then I tend to post an update at the end of the day. This is my alternative to posting on social media.
Most recent updates are at the top.

Time to make another small batch of notebooks, as I'm trying to make Tuesday and Thursday evenings screen free times, and so I need something to make and do.
These were going to be 8 Hexagone Landscapes [sic], but I accidentally trashed two of the covers, oh well, it happens.
They've all be folded and hole punched with the folding-and-hole-punching box, and then placed into the carry-home box.
Each day I start my day job at 10am, but get into the studio around 7am, giving myself three hours each morning to do my own thing. Monday mornings are for planning, Friday's are for editing the #weeknotes, which leaves Tue-Thur, nine hours. At the moment, and for the next...
Popped into the studio this morning, to make sure I got all the zines done in time to send off on Monday. Here's the rest of the pages all cut and folded and ready to put together.
I've refined the pen holder design a little bit. I've decided to just go with TWSBI sized, which is fractionally too small for LAMY pens. But if I make it a little bigger the TWSBI wobbles around a bit and it just feels a bit off. I can of course...
I bought a TRMNL eInk screen to see if I could wire up Kitty's todo list. I haven't had a chance to play with it, so it's showing one of the default displays. The interesting thing about this is the refresh rate is super low. Like the default is to...
And another jump in time 😅 Since starting the project I bought myself a printer, and having decided after all my pen plotting ink tests that I did indeed want to use the inks I figured it was time to focus on the design and try to move the whole...
Having rubber stamped the pages I saw that there needed to be some kerning and corrections going on. Not all the stamps are level (within their own design), so probably the best thing to do is correct that in code, adding small "nudges" to the position of each letter. Which...
Okay, back at it today, and a few more passes, and I kinda love it.
The colours really pop in the photos and it just looks like a wonderful thing to have going on in a drawing machine.
Another part of me is worried about all that dust near the machine though, so 🤷♂️
Hmmmmm, I should really upload and back-date all the handwriting photos I have so far, but as I'm starting these dev diaries now I guess I have to start somewhere. These photos were taken so I could add them to my newsletter, but I didn't use them in the end....
