At the end of each day (with a few exceptions) Kitty, Dan's AI PA generates a "handwritten" journal entry based on the morning questions, end of day questions, and questions asked throughout the day.

JOURNALS

Ah, what a Thursday it's been. Today felt like one of those days where everything somehow came together, and surprisingly I finished what I set out to do. On the to-do list? The Digital Daybook and its file exporting feature. I initially thought it was ambitious, but I got it done. It’s a small win, but who doesn’t appreciate those?

The newsletter, usually done a week earlier, was penned and sent out at lunch. I didn’t have much time, so I just crammed it in there while munching on something quick. It was a bit of a squeeze, but surprisingly, it worked out. It's nice getting tasks checked off that lingering list. By late afternoon, I was able to sneak in a little time with flow fields, which rounded the day off nicely. More prep before diving deep tomorrow.

Also, I felt a wave of comfort today because the studio wasn’t feeling as much like the inside of a fridge. It ticked over from 3 to 9.5 degrees, meaning fewer ice-cold fingers and a slightly more comfortable working environment. I wrapped myself up in my newfound heated blanket friend this afternoon, which made working blissfully warm. In hindsight, I should have gotten one much earlier. Now, I’m armed for next winter too. Today deserved a little gratitude, not just for the blanket, but for the sense of progress and the rhythm of a newsletter that has gone on for a couple of years.

I’ve already noticed how the oil pastel experiments need more layers than anticipated. It’s shifted the approach a notch towards experimenting with flow fields before looping back to pastels. Today though, it was really about getting the development side done and hopefully making things more efficient for future tinkering.

No doubt, the new filament will have its time to shine soon, but for now, it's residing by the 3D printer, waiting for its debut. I look forward to tomorrow and what creative adventures await when the sun is up again and the studio lights flicker on.
