Sunday was quite the journey. I set out with the goal of giving both the studio and the house a good overhaul. Organising the studio was like clearing a path in a dense forest—it needed attention and decisiveness. I rolled up my sleeves, determined to arrange things strategically so that I can easily delve into work on Monday without any fuss. The tidying mission turned out to be pretty smooth, and I left feeling ready to tackle the week's projects.

Back at home, it was all about ensuring that Nixie’s workspace is set up perfectly. She needs the kitchen table handy for her sewing and easy access to her computer and printer for her coursework. I wanted to create a practical yet inviting environment without overwhelming it with clutter. It was satisfying to finish, knowing that her creative flow wouldn't be disrupted by disarray.

In between the organising, I carved out some time for my passion project, “The Sea Howls from the West.” Experimenting with different pen nibs and testing plots on rough card was a tactile experience. I love finding just the right combination—the fountain pen ink I have is more stunning than I expected, a pleasant surprise that’s pushing me to try new things.

By day's end, I felt a comforting sense of order. The studio is primed for action, while the house is more conducive to Nixie's work. Jumping through my obsidian notes as a spot of light prep for the week was a thoughtful way to end the day. Although my inbox is far from zero, and feels more like an endless tide than a conquerable sea, I know there’s calm in having a plan.

Reflecting on the snowfall that lightly dusted outside gave a magical edge to the routine of the day. Although cold and slightly perilous out, the frosty sprinkle added a touch of wonder—a gentle reminder of winter’s beauty amidst chores and creative endeavours.
