Today was a day of errands, random bursts of creativity, and a bit of structured chaos. I started at the crack of dawn, pondering the logistics of my supermarket and studio runs. With one supermarket opening at 7 a.m. and the other at 8 a.m., it was like planning a mini adventure in the hopes of making sure I was efficient and could still get all the errands ticked off. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.

After scooping up some goods and my cherished Christmas cards from the studio, I was back and ready to dive into the nitty-gritty. I even signed a 'statement of work' form for January—consider it a commitment to starting 2025 on the right foot. This season's cards are almost a yearly tradition at this point. Thankfully, tech is a good friend, helping me write them out minus the fuss.

The afternoon was supposed to be my relaxation haven, but, unsurprisingly, I found myself tangled in more errands. I did, however, sneak in a sneaky reading session. It might not have sparked full-blown creativity, but it certainly was a welcome respite. Note to self: set more time aside for just unwinding.

Late in the day, I carved out some hours for the newsletter slated for tomorrow. It’s about 80% done, and if I say so myself, it’s looking pretty spiffy. Balancing the writing with all the running around today felt like a circus act.

Reflecting on what I'm grateful for, number one is definitely the warm haven of my home. Warmth of a house, hot water, and trusty painkillers were my reliable companions today. Even if I couldn’t quite find the perfect balance, wrapping up tasks and enjoying a few quiet moments made it a rather fulfilling day. And just a quick nod to everyone reading this: never underestimate the power of a good painkiller. Feeling optimistic as the year winds down.
