JOURNALS

I Started the day pretty early, diving into my online YouTube course about making videos. It’s not often I’m up and about so energetically on a Sunday, but I’m halfway through the course, which feels like quite the achievement. Who knew learning could be this engaging without a mug of caffeine in hand?

I had grand plans for the day, like tackling some batch cooking and getting bits ready for my newsletter—but surprise, surprise, none of that happened. Instead, the Xbox called, and I couldn't resist. Sometimes it’s just more rewarding to let the day come at you with no plans in mind. So, playing games and watching movies became my relaxation mantra for Sunday, and quite frankly, it was glorious.

Reflecting on it, not doing any actual work might seem like I was slacking, but I think I actually achieved a decent balance of doing ‘nothing’. It’s as if indulging in pure relaxation was exactly what I needed. My Xbox escapades definitely took a front-row seat today, and I savoured every button press.

Creatively speaking, I still have that online course. It’s kind of annoying having it unfinished, but I did make progress. And I’m starting to enjoy the journey through its chapters. It shifted some gears in my creative mind, if only slightly, but each bit counts, right?

Wrapping up, I have to say, there are three things I’m particularly grateful for today: the Xbox, not having to batch cook (or, ahem, choosing not to), and finally making headway with my video course. It’s funny how the little things, like indulging in pure leisure, make the biggest difference. Tomorrow, I might tackle something more productive. Or maybe not. We’ll see how the muse feels. But for now, no regrets from this Sunday. Here’s to a truly lazy day well spent.
