Ah, Friday. The end of the workweek, and I'm realising I've bitten off a bit more than I could chew. I had this grand vision of wrapping up a bunch of tasks, but juggling everything didn’t pan out fully. I began the day intending to organise the piles and stacks in the studio. I've got paper from recent deliveries just sitting out, waiting to warp if I don't get them into the drawers with some silica gel. It was such a simple goal, yet somehow, tidying wasn't fully checked off the list today.

Alarms were set for the classic 50-minute work and 10-minute break method, which usually keeps me in line, but I got carried away editing the weeknotes video. Funny thing, I headed home at lunchtime, and before I knew it, I was wrapping up the video edit in the comfort of my usual spot. It's satisfying seeing the project finish, even if that's where most of the day went.

While I was editing, a small error hit—it turns out I left some footage at home, which led to my impromptu journey back. It’s one of those small hiccups that remind me how much I love having everything consolidated. On the upside, I did get a good chunk of editing out of the way, and the room can always be organized on another day.

Also, as always, I tried squeezing more into the day than I should. The nostalgic sight of snow was one of those tiny joyful moments, a little unexpected delight. It’s not often I’m grateful for the wet stuff, but I was, along with feeling warm and cozy—and comics, of course. Comics have that way of just letting me escape into another world, which is delightful, especially with the studio being such a whirlwind of late.

There's still some work to refresh in my head for next week. London is calling on Wednesday, and there are pen plotting tools to ensure everything’s working smoothly before the newsletter goes out. But that’s Monday's issue, not tonight's. This weekend beckons, and I'll try my best to step out of the work mindset for a couple of days. Cheers to that.
