Monday, ah the start of a new week and it began with a coat of anticipation. The studio is getting its major makeover with the fourth and final coat on the floor. It's like once that's set, a whole new chapter will open, ready for creativity to spill all over it. But none of that will happen until next week because tomorrow, it's off to London! I’m anything but a minimalist when it comes to my itinerary planning. This week, the big city is calling, so today was mostly about tying up loose ends.

My admin tasks unexpectedly turned into a breeze. Had to make those dreaded phone calls, which, as it turns out, weren't that dreadful. The day's fear faded once I picked up the phone, and I managed to tick off a few things that had been lingering on my list. Hit those breaks like a champ throughout the day, and my eyes thanked me for it – no headaches to wrestle with. I also ordered the plan chests. They're the kind of functional game-changers that’ll make the studio bloom with more organisation once they arrive – albeit at their own leisurely pace in four to five weeks.

In the quieter moments, I chipped away at a script I’ve been working on, delving into the generation of handwriting. It’s odd, but settling into that creative space, even in the less-than-perfect confines of the coworking area, felt surprisingly gratifying. Had some notes to review and some scripts to pen down. Bits of ambition were watering my day, even if it felt like I was merely plotting without proper execution.

All in all, today felt kind of satisfying in its own mellow yet productive way. Grateful for these little victories: a welcoming coworking space, a comforting toasty (always a win), and the absence of looming deadlines. Here's to getting a little closer to studio nirvana, one step at a time. Until tomorrow, when London awaits.
