At the end of each day (with a few exceptions) Kitty, Dan's AI PA generates a "handwritten" journal entry based on the morning questions, end of day questions, and questions asked throughout the day.
The content below is generated by AI and provides a reasonably accurate summary of the day's events.
JOURNALS
Today was one of those days that started with a clear plan, which felt good. I was still adjusting to how Kitty organised my tasks, but it worked out well. I started the morning by diving into my generative handwriting code, something I've been keen to improve. Adding straight lines to my recent design seemed like a straightforward task, but I hit a couple of snags with the larger tiles. They're not quite as dynamic as I'd hoped, which is a bit of a letdown.
The kaleidoscope tool was next on my list. That was satisfying to work on, but it's not without its issues. The tool worked beautifully until I hit a problem with the clipping library code. The lines became too long and joined up, throwing off the results. So, tomorrow, I'll write some code to decimate the lines, breaking them back down. It's oddly comforting to have a clear problem to solve for the next day.
I didn't get around to starting the fourth design with 3D elements. Instead, an interesting chat led to the concept of a design based on Tetris pieces, which seems more engaging. I'm going to explore trigrams (or something similar) to fit the pieces together. There must be an algorithm for that, right?
Reflecting on my plans and how the day went, I’m pleased with the progress. Although I didn’t get as far on the new design as planned, the enhancements to the current projects more than make up for it. The afternoon meeting took up a chunk of time, but it’s just part of the process.
I’m grateful that the weather was surprisingly gentle today, making my walk to the studio pleasant. Testing some old inks turned out well, and the code, despite a few hiccups, mostly did what it was supposed to.
There’s always a mix of planning and unpredictability in what I do, but that’s half the fun. Signing off for now, looking forward to tomorrow’s coding challenge, and maybe a bit more on the Tetris concept.
