Today was quite interesting, starting off with some planning and organising. My focus was on my generative handwriting post. I had spent the early hours this morning expanding notes into a structured markdown document. Getting this down in a traditional format—beginning, middle, and end—felt methodical. I was deliberating on whether to keep it highly technical, appeal to a narrow audience, or make it broader, allowing for a wider reach. Ultimately, I decided to concentrate on just getting it written without worrying too much about the balance just yet.

Throughout the day, I noticed how essential breaks and music have become in maintaining my energy and creativity. Despite a lighter sleep than usual, these elements helped massively. I had some nice music breaks and was able to relax. While this approach is standard for me, I realised how crucial it is for keeping focused. Creativity was flowing, and the structure of my day felt right.

Mid-day saw a quick lunch before diving back into some design work for plotting. The afternoon was productive though the earlier fatigue loomed over slightly. I spent those hours on refining some design sketches, incorporating what I had pondered about in the morning.

The evening was reflective. I thought about how my blog post on generative handwriting was progressing and how I balanced the technical aspects with broader interest. My progress was decent but slowed somewhat by practising my typing on a new keyboard. This new skill is essential but had yet to improve my typing speed. Ironically, learning to type correctly is now a priority.

As for new design inspirations, my plotting work today gave me thoughts on neatening up edges and introducing negative space into designs, especially around the tiles' edges. These ideas aligned with current and future projects, adding more depth to the work.

Today's highlights? Warm thermal leggings keeping me comfortable in the studio's chilly environment, past experiences making today's work straightforward, and friends reaching out even though we didn't get a chance to chat.

Overall, it was a day marked by minor disruptions but underpinned by steady progress and creativity.
