JOURNALS

Today was a nice change of pace. I spent most of the day involved in collaging and scrapbooking. To be honest, the best part was spreading all the pens, glue, and cut-outs across the table. It was quite refreshing to step away from the screen and dive into something tactile for a change. There's just something about cutting and sticking that's incredibly satisfying.

I decided to read through my journal and add doodles and decorations to the various pages. Nothing profound emerged from this activity, but it was fun, and for now, that’s totally fine with me. No grand themes or emotions today, just a bit of artistic fun and relaxation.

I also managed to head down to the old studio for a bit more tidying up and then swung by the new studio to pick up my journal. It’s funny how something so simple can make such a big difference; having my journal back at home let me really enjoy those collaging moments without a hitch.

Keeping the day computer-free was a good move. Apart from a couple of quick phone checks, I avoided my laptop entirely. I did end up reading on my Kindle later, but I think that still counts. All in all, I felt quite relaxed by the end of it. Clearing my mind this way was more about unwinding today rather than achieving mental clarity.

Even though I kept it low-key and analog, I’m not sure if I came away with any new ideas for the upcoming work week. Sometimes inspiration doesn’t strike immediately, and that’s perfectly alright. Today, it was about just letting go and enjoying the now, which felt good in its own right.

So that sums up the day—a mix of glue, paper, and relaxation. I’m curious to see if this detour from the usual screen-based creativity might spark some fresh ideas moving forward. Until then, I’ll just keep sticking and gluing.
